Rajdharam Foundation is a not-for-profit initiative advancing governance, diplomacy, and global engagement. Founded in 2021, it empowers Indian lawmakers and policy leaders to connect with global institutions, while bringing international perspectives closer to regional India—fostering informed leadership in an interconnected world.
Rajdharam Foundation is a not-for-profit initiative advancing governance, diplomacy, and global engagement. By fostering international exchanges, we sow the seeds of mutual understanding, respect, and enduring diplomatic bonds between nations and their representatives.
Our lawmakers engage directly with foreign legislatures, governance models, and policy-making paradigms — equipping them with profound insights to enhance the efficiency of our political structures.
In an age of global interdependence, we broaden the horizons of our political leaders — empowering them to contemplate innovative strategies informed by the diverse political landscapes of the world.
Our aspirations extend far beyond borders. These international exchanges cultivate long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships between nations — connections that go well beyond the symbolic.
We stand as vanguards, championing the cause of strengthening the foundations of democracy, nurturing active civic engagement, and empowering our public leaders. Together, we can shape the future of governance and secure a brighter tomorrow.
Rajdharam Foundation was established with a clear and strategic purpose—to bridge critical gaps in India’s global engagement ecosystem. The idea emerged after identifying two fundamental challenges:
While India plays a growing role in global affairs, there remains a lack of structured platforms for Indian lawmakers, administrators, and policy professionals to directly engage with international governance systems, legislative practices, and policy innovation.
Most foreign embassies and diplomatic missions operate primarily from New Delhi, limiting their exposure to India’s vast regional diversity. However, much of India’s governance innovation, economic activity, and policy implementation occurs at the state and local levels.
Rajdharam Foundation addresses these gaps through a dual-track model:
Enabling Indian stakeholders to engage with global governance systems
Facilitating deeper, on-ground engagement for foreign missions across Indian states
To position India as a globally engaged, policy-aware, and institutionally connected democracy with strong linkages to international governance systems.
To create structured platforms for:
Rajdharam Foundation works across three core areas to advance India's engagement with the global governance landscape.
Curated visits for Indian lawmakers and policymakers to global institutions and legislative systems. These immersive programmes offer direct engagement with foreign parliaments, governance frameworks, and policy ecosystems — strengthening bilateral relationships and equipping India's elected representatives with a truly global perspective on democratic governance.
Facilitating meaningful interactions between foreign embassies, high commissions, and India's regional governance ecosystems — bridging international diplomatic missions with state-level leadership. Through structured engagements, visiting diplomats gain first-hand exposure to India's diverse governance landscape, fostering deeper bilateral understanding.
Creating platforms for structured dialogue between policymakers, diplomats, and domain experts through seminars, roundtables, and institutional partnerships. Anchored by collaborations such as the MoU with the Geneva School of Diplomacy, these forums provide sustained access to international institutions and policy networks that shape global governance.
Rajdharam Foundation has successfully executed a range of international engagements and diplomatic initiatives.
A three-day delegation of Indian MLAs engaged with the Parliament of Victoria, the Indian Consulate, and the Australia India Business Council, alongside interactions with the Indian diaspora.
A curated visit for Mr Ravindra Singh Bhati, including engagements at the Commonwealth Secretariat, academic institutions such as Cambridge, and dialogue with the Indian diaspora.
An Australian delegation comprising Members of Parliament, industrialists, and academics engaged with Haryana's legislative leadership on subnational cooperation.
Engagements involving British Member of Parliament Mr Bob Blackman, including discussions with Indian legislators and interactions at the Rajasthan Assembly and Constitution Club.
Ongoing collaboration with the British High Commission and Australian High Commission, providing regional support and enabling deeper engagement across India.
Through a landmark MoU with the Geneva School of Diplomacy, Rajdharm Foundation is institutionalising its efforts by establishing the India Centre at Geneva (ICG) — a year-round platform anchored in the global hub of diplomacy, connecting Indian policymakers with European and international institutions at a critical moment, especially in the context of the upcoming India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
They provide strategic guidance, institutional credibility, and intellectual direction to the Foundation's initiatives.
At a time when global governance is evolving rapidly, India's engagement with international systems must move beyond diplomacy at the central level.
Translating governance frameworks into real-world impact across communities.
Linking international bodies with state and local governance for deeper engagement.
Empowering lawmakers to represent India with insight and authority on the global stage.
Shaping policy through informed engagement and legislative exchange.
Building bridges between nations through cross-border dialogue.
Advancing research and knowledge exchange for better governance.
Driving innovation through strategic thought leadership and expertise.
